“Asa did what was good and right in the eyes of the Lord his God, for he removed the altars of the foreign gods and the high places, and broke down the sacred pillars and cut down the wooden images. He commanded Judah to seek the Lord God of their fathers, and to observe the law and the commandment.” 2 Chr 14:2-4
The bible tells us how God regarded the kings of old – either they did what was good and right in the eyes of God or they did evil in the eyes of God.
What would be considered good in the eyes of God? 2 Chr 14:3-4 tell us that Asa “removed the altars of strange gods, …. broke down images,….commanded Judah to seek the Lord God of their fathers, …observed the law and commandment”.
God regards us in the same manner. Are we obeying God’s commandments, putting away idols in our lives? Are we living in obedience to the law and commandments of God? If we are not, we are not doing what is good and right in the eyes of God. Let us examine ourselves today.
